St Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Primary School is seeking to appoint a committed and highly organised School Admin Support Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated team. You will ideally have experience of working in a school office or a similar role. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills who enjoys working in a busy, child centred environment.

We are a one form entry Catholic primary school where children are at the heart of everything we do. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of the school office and ensuring that pupils, parents and staff receive a warm, professional service.

Key Responsibilities -

The role includes, but is not limited to:

    • Answering inbound queries and making outbound calls

    • Liaising with parents and supporting communication across the school

    • Managing confidential information with professionalism and discretion

    • Supporting safeguarding processes and responding to medical needs

    • Ensuring school systems are accurate, up to date and well maintained

    • Providing general administrative support to staff and senior leaders

We are looking for someone who:

    • Has previous office experience and strong ICT skills

    • Communicates clearly and professionally with parents, staff, children and outside agencies

    • Handles confidential matters with tact and discretion

    • Builds positive, supportive relationships across the school community

    • Is highly organised, calm under pressure and able to prioritise effectively

    • Works well as part of a team

    • Is willing to train as a First Aider and support with administering medication and maintaining first aid supplies (training provided)
