Are you passionate about working with children and have experience in early years education? Are you committed to providing an inclusive, nurturing, and safe environment where all children can thrive and feel welcome? Then we need you! Jenny Wren Nursery is looking for a Deputy Manager to work alongside our manager, and team of staff and volunteers. We need someone who will:

    • Work as part of the team under the direction of the Jenny Wren Nursery Manager to provide safe, high-quality education and care for nursery children.

    • Supervise the setting in the absence of the Manager and to play in a key role in the administration of the nursery.

    • Contribute to the planning and delivery of the daily programme of activities, ensuring that the needs of the children are met, observing and recording the children’s progress and achievements.

Jenny Wren Nursery is a nursery with a Christian ethos and owned by Emmanuel Church, and has been established for well over 30 years. Jenny Wren promotes a nurturing, inclusive, safe environment where all children can thrive and are welcome. We are a small setting, with a maximum of sixteen children attending each day, offering an environment which is familiar and where children, families and staff work closely together for the good of the children’s learning and care, health and overall well-being.

Holidays: to be taken out of term-time.

Hours of work: 8:00am – 2:30pm two days per week (to be negotiated)

The appointment is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.
