At Pashley Down Infant School, we are proud to be a welcoming, inclusive and vibrant school community, nestled at the foot of the Sussex Downs. Our school is full of energy, with enthusiastic, engaged and curious children who love learning. We are supported by a dedicated staff team who champion every child and work collaboratively to support one another.
The outdoors plays an important role in our curriculum, from Woodland Wednesday and play in the polytunnel, to exploring the bees and allotment. Positive relationships are at the heart of everything we do, and every member of our school community is valued.
We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and committed Individual Needs Assistant who is passionate and enthusiastic. This will be a fixed term post to provide care, education and support to individual pupils with complex needs.
The successful applicant will need to build strong and trusting relationships quickly to enable the young person they are supporting to feel secure throughout the school day. The ability to provide consistent, calm personalised support and maintain excellent communication with the class teacher, SEND team and parents is key.
Previous experience of working as a TA or INA would be an advantage including with children on the autistic spectrum, but we also welcome applications from people who have experience of volunteering in a school.
