At St Philip’s Catholic Primary School, relationships are at the heart of everything we do. We are a warm, positive and supportive learning community where dedicated staff work together to help every child flourish. We are excited to appoint two caring, enthusiastic and motivated Individual Needs Assistants to join our happy and popular school.

We are seeking committed team players who are passionate about supporting children to achieve their full potential. Experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) would be an advantage.

We have two part time positions available:

    • 22.25 hours a week supporting a child in KS2
    • 21.25 hours a week supporting a child in KS1

Both positions will include the responsibility of being a Midday Supervisor (MDSA) over the children’s lunch hour.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in children’s educational journeys, helping them thrive both academically and personally.

We are looking for someone who:

    • Is enthusiastic, patient, and nurturing
    • Has excellent communication skills
    • Can support positive behaviour effectively
    • Works well as part of a team
    • Is passionate about inclusive education and helping every child succeed.

This post is covered by the Childcare Disqualification Regulations 2018.

The school will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2018 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision. Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school, by completing a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process, that they have not been disqualified under the 2018 Regulations.

If the preferred candidate is found to be disqualified under the 2018 Regulations, the offer of employment will be subject to the application by the preferred candidate to Ofsted for a waiver and the receipt of a waiver from Ofsted.
