We are a welcoming 26-bed residential care home looking for a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly kitchen team.

About the Role

As Kitchen Assistant, you will support the preparation and serving of meals, ensuring high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food presentation are maintained at all times.

You will play an important part in helping to provide nutritious, enjoyable meals that make a real difference to our residents’ day.

Key Responsibilities

    • Assist with preparation and serving of meals
    • Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene
    • Support with washing up and general kitchen duties
    • Ensure food is stored safely and correctly
    • Work as part of a small, friendly kitchen team
    • Follow food safety and infection control procedures
    • Support a positive dining experience for residents

What We’re Looking For

    • A positive, reliable and caring attitude
    • Ability to work well as part of a team
    • Good understanding of kitchen hygiene standards
    • Previous kitchen experience is beneficial but not essential
    • A respectful and compassionate approach to older people
