Salary: £12.75 – £12.95 per hour (depending on qualifications)

Location: Glenholme Specialist Healthcare – 67 Saltdean Drive, Brighton, BN2 8SD

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

About the Service – 67 Saltdean Drive

67 Saltdean Drive is a modern, welcoming supported living service set in a peaceful residential area of Brighton. The home offers:

    • Spacious, comfortable living areas
    • Calm communal spaces and private areas
    • Access to outdoor space and local amenities
    • Excellent transport links into Brighton city centre

The service is designed to promote independence, dignity, choice, and inclusion, while providing the right level of support to those we support.

Pay & Career Progression

We believe in recognising skills, experience, and commitment:

    • £12.75 per hour – Entry rate for new starters
    • £12.85 per hour – With verified Care Certificate (or complete one with us – fully funded)
    • £12.95 per hour – With verified Level 2 or Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification (or gain one with us – fully funded)

What You'll Be Doing

    • Providing person-centred support in line with care plans and organisational policies
    • Supporting individuals to maintain independence and achieve positive outcomes
    • Assisting with personal care while promoting dignity and respect
    • Administering medication and maintaining accurate records
    • Supporting daily living activities and healthy lifestyle choices
    • Encouraging participation in social, educational, and community activities
    • Working collaboratively with colleagues, families, and professionals
    • Following Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approaches where required
    • Maintaining a safe, supportive, and positive environment

What We're Looking For

We are specifically seeking candidates who have:

    • Previous experience working in a Health and Social Care setting (essential)
    • Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism
    • A calm, patient, and compassionate approach
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • A positive attitude and good sense of humour
    • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Flexibility to work long days or waking nights
    • A genuine commitment to delivering high-quality care and support
