Hours of work: TA: 13.67 + HLTA: 9 hours per week.
Working pattern: Part-time, term-time only (working for 39 weeks per year plus 3 weeks annual leave, which will increase after 5 years' continuous service)
As the position is part-time/term-time only, the above salary will be pro rata.
Fixed term for: 12 months.

Teaching Assistant / Higher Level Teaching Assistant required for September 2026 start.

We are seeking a compassionate, caring and (ideally) experienced Teaching Assistant/Higher Level Teaching Assistant. The role will be part-time, 22.67 hours per week (Tuesday – Friday) working term-time only (paid pro rata). The successful candidate will be class-based each morning, working as part of a class team to support children with their core learning and delivering small group/individual interventions. Each afternoon, the successful candidate will cover teacher planning, preparation and assessment (PPA) time, planning and delivering high quality lessons in a range of classes. Experience of helping children to learn through play and outdoor learning provision would be an advantage.
Job-shares will be considered.
We are looking for a TA/HLTA who will:
Work as a teaching assistant with class bases each morning, supporting children with core learning;
Deliver targeted interventions, including reading, phonics, maths and nurture to support children in their learning and emotional regulation
Work closely with class teachers, SENCo and wider staff to observe, record and feedback on pupils’ development where appropriate;
Provide PPA cover in the afternoons, planning and delivering engaging and inclusive lessons;
Support teachers with assessment and feedback to improve children’s progress;
Monitor, record, and report on children’s progress and attainment;
Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment with high expectations for all;
Have a calm, patient and nurturing approach;
Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
