Priory School is a happy and thriving Secondary School based in Lewes, East Sussex. It is a very successful school with an excellent reputation. The Governors are seeking to appoint 2 temporary Teaching Assistants, (from September/October 2026 until July 2027), two part-time roles (12 or 30 hours per week) experienced in working with students with Special Educational Needs and in particular, students with Autism.
These positions are based on the main school site and within the Oak Centre (ASC Support Centre). The roles include supporting Oak students in mainstream lessons, as well as supporting at the Oak Centre. You may be required to deliver Primary and Secondary level 1:1 and small group lessons at the Oak Centre. You will be working with outstanding SEN professionals and teachers.

The actual yearly salary for the 30 hours role is £17,642 to £17,921 and for working 2 days a week (12 hours) the actual yearly salary is £7,056 to £7,168 (39 working weeks, 6.05 holiday weeks, 45.05 total paid weeks). The hours of work are 8.30 a.m. to 3.15 p.m. term time. The grade is Grade 4, Scale point 9-10, £25,185 to £25,583.
