CARETAKER & MAINTENANCE WORKER

Single Status Grade 4 Points 9-10 (£25,185 - £25,583) + £895 allowance

37 hours per week, full time (52 weeks a year)

Permanent contract, paid annual leave

We are seeking to appoint a reliable, proactive and practical Caretaker & Maintenance Worker as part of our Trust’s Site Team. This position will be based at Cavendish School, Eastbourne.

You will play a vital role in keeping our premises safe, secure, clean and fully operational for pupils and staff. The role will be to provide an effective caretaking service and you will need to demonstrate high quality premises maintenance skills. The duties are varied and include;

● site security; opening and locking up the buildings, setting alarms, and conducting regular building checks

● maintenance; including repairs, decorating and supporting the work of contractors

● health and safety compliance; performing regular checks e.g. meter reading, fire alarms.

Working Hours; currently this role will complete the early shift (6.30am to 2.30pm Mon-Thurs, 6.30am to 2pm on Fri) but could be subject to a rota change at a future date.
