We are advertising for a part time Senior Business Administrator in the SPOA department in Children’s Services for a 9 month secondment, it is a great opportunity to become a behind the scenes fundamental part in children’s lives.

As a Senior Business Administrator within SPOA, your role involves acting as the first point of contact for incoming calls relating to Child Protection, Social Care, Early Help Keywork, Level 2 Attendance, and CAMHS referrals. You are responsible for triaging initial information, redirecting or signposting enquiries, offering advice, or seeking further guidance to determine the most appropriate response. In addition, you manage emails and process new referrals, creating Initial Contacts in EHM using Liquid Logic. You ensure that all systems and documentation are accurately maintained and kept up to date. A key part of your role also includes liaising with both internal and external colleagues and clients, sharing information as required, and ensuring that all Council procedures are followed correctly.

The people we are looking for in this vital position will have:

  • RQF Level 2 English or able to pass an assessment at interview
  • Commitment to developing personal performance and supporting that of the service
  • An understanding of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook and other PC software
  • Competent to work on own initiative and use accuracy and attention to detail skills
  • Able to effectively organise and prioritise own and team workload to meet deadlines
